Calavianca is produced in Marsala in Sicily and is made with Grecanico (50%) and Inzolia (50%) grapes. It has a pale yellow colour with green highlights.
To the nose Calavianca is pleaseant and delicate, with intense flavours of ripe white fruit. When tasting it is dry, lightly acidic, juicy with a long finish.
This lovely Sicilian wine pairs perfectly with shellfils, fish, aged cheese and should be served between 10 and 12°C.
