There are many legends to the name Strozzapreti which translated means "priest choker" pasta. The one that I hope is true is that on Sundays after the service it was common for priests to eat with the parishioners. If a priest would like the cooking then they would come back week after week. To let a priest know that they had outstayed their welcome they would serve Stozzapreti to give the priest a sign!

Sugo, our fabulous local restaurant, recommended Tenuta Marmorelle at the start of the pandemic and we have been ordering from them ever since. This is by far our favourite pasta, and we’ve introduced them to friends who’ve also ordered. It’s an amazing product, backed up by really personal customer service, and I recommend them unreservedly
Enjoyed my 2 packets so much I’ve bought more! I cooked mine with a pumpkin creamy sauce and sautéd mixed mushrooms, garlic, thyme & pumpkin seeds. Delish!
Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review and your sauce sounds lovely!!
Thanks once again and look forward to hearing back from you again soon
Gorgeous pasta and definitely recommend for something different. One recommendation would be more recipes on what would suit each pasta type :)
Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we appriciate it and also the suggestion, we'll definitely look to add more recipes to the site in the near future.
The dried pasta is lovely and better than any I have bought elsewhere.

We have the Strozzapreti as a dry version too but you're right, there's something extra special about fresh pasta...
